Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center conducted the first ”Basic Emergency Obstetrics and Newborn Care (BEmONC)” Skills Training Course for Midwives last October 6 to 12, 2015 at Fred’s Apartelle, Victoria Mansion, Bitas, Cabanatuan City“. The participants were from Aurora Province, who were representatives of different Rural Health Units. There were also 4 midwives from Dr.PJGMRMC.
Women and Child Protection Unit Orientation Held in Dr. PJGMRMC

The Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center held an orientation to its employees about Women and Child Protection last September 11 (for Medical Division), 15 (for Medical Allied and Nursing Division) and 29 (for Administrative and Finance Division). Dr. Cynthia P. Daniel, Medical Specialist IV, Head of the Pediatrics Department, served as resource speaker. She shared the goal of the WCPU which is to raise awareness regarding violence against women and children.

Dr. PJGRMRMC Supports “Sa Bawat Hakbang Tagumpay ng Kabataan”

The Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center showed its strong support to the Cabanatuan City government’s Alay Lakad program with the theme “Sa Bawat Hakbang Tagumpay ng Kabataan” held last September 26, 2015. The participants were headed by the medical center’s Human Resource and Development Office through the leadership of Mrs. Segundina M. Mallari.
Selected employees participated and declared as 3rd place winner in the Zumba contest which was also part of the fun run program. Mr. Marlon Balmeo and Mr. Mauricio Sison led the choreography of the dance.
OB-Gyne Department Wins Case Paper Contest 2015

The OB-Gyne department won the first and second place for this year’s Annual Interesting Case Paper Contest held last September 10, 2015 in the Dr.PJGMRMC’s Dietary Conference Hall. Selected Dr. PJGMRMC’s medical doctors presented eleven (11) interesting cases. Dr. Jessica Antoinette Uera won the first prize with her “ NO WAY OUT” (A Case Report on Acquired Vaginal Atresia) and Dr Shiena Grace Pascual, also from the OB Gyne department, won second with her “IN AND OUT : A Case Report of Heterotopic Pregnancy”. Dr. Devie Ann dela Cruz, from the Pediatrics department, won third place with her case entitled “ What Lies Beneath” Diencephalic Syndrome of Russell:A Case Report” .
