The Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center employees celebrated its 85th Founding Anniversary last December 15, 2015.  A holy mass officiated by the hospital chaplain, Rev. Father Joey Alto, started the day-long events in the Auditorium.  

 The flag raising ceremonies led by the members of the 85th Founding Committee followed.  One of the highlights of these events include the launching of the PJG symbol, and the Awit ng PJG and  the unveiling of the maiden issue of PJG Vitals Signs, the official newsletter of the medical center.

After the events in the auditorium, the employees proceeded to their respective sections to do their tasks while the three Santa Claus namely Ms. Hazelynne M. Resuello, Mr. Bernard C. Pamulagan and Mr. Rhoel S. Cruz, distributed the Christmas gifts to all the employees.

Each office/section/division served and shared a sumptuous lunch. The employees were encouraged to hop from one office to another to share the food prepared by other sections.  It was indeed a synchronized happy feast for the entire Dr.PJGMRMC family.

The festive ambiance continued in the Wesleyan University-Philippines gymnasium.  The program there started with the doxology led by the Dr. PJGMRMC chorale.  Mrs. Evangeline P. Ruanto, the overall chairperson of the 85th Founding Anniversary Organizing Committee, gave the welcome remarks while  Dr. Huberto F. Lapuz delivered the Opening Remarks.  Dr.Ma.Minerva P. Calimag, the President of the Philippine Medical Association, shared her christmas message.

Selected employees from the Administrative, Finance, Medical (OB-Gyne and Ancillary), Nursing Divisions as well as those under the Office of the Medical Center Chief, showcased their talents in their respective Christmas presentation numbers.

Loyalty awardees, who served Dr.PJGMRMC for three decades or more,  were recognized too during the said event.

Though it was getting late, the energetic spirits of the employees intensified especially when Mrs. Marilou L. Pascual, Dr. Lordel M. Arriola and Dr. Andrew P. Mangiduyos facilitated the raffle draw where thousands of cash prizes were given.  Dr. Jose Ravinar J. Austria who delivered the closing remarks also offered another batch of 5k raffle prizes.

Dr. Marjorie I. Acuña and Dr. Lord Ivan B. Manangbao served as masters of ceremonies.
